2018년 출시될 SDAZ 컴필레이션 앨범 [SDAZ.HIPHOP(스다즈닷힙합)]의 다섯번째 선공개 곡으로 ‘Donkey(동키)'의 [Underdog (Feat. myunobea$t, DJ defstone)]이 발매되었다.

‘Donkey'는 SDAZ 유일한 하이톤 랩퍼로써 본인의 끊임없는 변화를 추구하여 결과물을 얻어낸 경험을 바탕으로, 가사에 본인의 다재다능함과 서사를 녹여 한 곡 안에 담아내었다. 다양한 메타포를 통해 오리지널 힙합을 정공법으로 표현해 내었다. 8월의 선공개 곡의 주제는 ‘조합’으로써, Donkey를 서포트 하고자 절친인 myunobea$t가 도입부와 피쳐링에 참여함으로써 Donkey를 완벽하게 지원하였고 DJ defstone의 스크래치로 뒷받침하였다.

비트의 빈티지한 느낌은 붐뱁과 힙합이 동의어이던 90년대 골든에라 힙합의 재연으로 MPC60/MPC3000 등 빈티지 악기를 통하여 만들어졌다. [쇼미더머니], [고등래퍼] 등 서바이벌 오디션 프로그램이 대세인 분위기, 그리고 원류에 대한 연구는 없이 무조건 최신 유행을 따르지 않으면 퇴물이라 폄하하는 지금의 세태에 맞서 과연 힙합 음악의 본질은 무엇인가라는 고민을 담았다.

또한, ‘Donkey'는 SDAZ 컴필레이션 앨범을 통해 조만간 다시 찾아올 예정이다.
